Application 

These pliers are used to remove things from materials that they have previously been applied to or to retrieve deeply buried nails from wood. Additionally effective for removing nails from concrete. The toughness of carpenters' pincers makes them particularly popular and widely used. They are extremely sturdy since their cutting edges are parallel to the grips.
