Electromagnetic Flow Meter- A magnetic flow meter (also known as an electromagnetic flow meter or mag meter) is a transducer that measures fluid flow using the voltage that is created across a liquid as a result of the liquid's movement through a magnetic field. In order to create a potential difference proportional to the flow velocity perpendicular to the flux lines, a magnetic field is provided to the metering tube. Electromagnetic induction is the underlying physical principle. The magnetic flow meter needs an electrically insulating pipe surface, such as a steel tube lined with rubber, as well as a conducting fluid, such as water that includes ions.
